Convert Pine Script to NinjaTrader 8 or ATAS

Why
Why move Pine code?
Pine → NinjaScript
The strategy should trade straight from NinjaTrader without a webhook detour, or you want to test it in the Strategy Analyzer.
Learn more →ATASPine → ATAS (C#)
You want to combine the logic with order flow: footprint, delta, volume at price. TradingView cannot do that.
Learn more →From alert to order
The Pine alert becomes a strategy that manages orders, stops and targets itself.
Experience
What changes in a conversion
Pine Script, NinjaScript and ATAS do not calculate the same way. I settle these points before building.
- 01
When a signal counts
Pine runs once per bar on history and, depending on settings, on every tick live. NinjaTrader and ATAS have their own modes. We decide whether signals count at bar close or immediately.
- 02
Higher timeframes
request.security has a counterpart in NinjaTrader via added data series. In ATAS the higher timeframe is usually built from the chart’s own candles.
- 03
Built-in functions
RSI, ATR and other standard functions exist everywhere, but smoothing can differ in detail. That is why I compare the values with the original.
- 04
Strategy fills
TradingView’s Strategy Tester fills differently from real orders in NinjaTrader or ATAS. Differences in the backtest are normal and not a conversion error.
- 05
Drawings
Labels, boxes and tables are moved to the target platform’s drawing tools and look slightly different there.
Process
How a conversion works
- 01
Send the code
The complete Pine code and a screenshot with symbol and timeframe that shows the signals.
- 02
Review and fixed price
I check which parts carry over directly and where the platforms differ. Then the price is fixed.
- 03
Conversion and check
I build the version for the target platform and compare signals and values with the original.
- 04
Delivery
Source code, ready file, guide and a short list of the places where the platforms differ.
I need the source code. Protected scripts without code can only be rebuilt from your description, not converted.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you convert any Pine script?
Almost any, if the source code is available. Some functions have no direct counterpart on the target platform; I rebuild those. You see this before the quote.
May I have someone else’s Pine code converted?
Only if you hold the rights: your own code, purchased code with a suitable licence, or an open-source script whose licence allows reuse. For open source, licence notices stay in the code.
Will the signals look exactly the same?
The goal is the same logic on the same candles. Small differences from other data feeds or smoothing can occur. I show you the comparison.
NinjaTrader or ATAS — which is better?
ATAS for order flow, NinjaTrader for backtesting and broad broker connectivity. More in the guide ATAS or NinjaTrader.
How much does a conversion cost?
It depends on the size of the Pine code. You get a fixed price after the review. Reference prices are in the guide to bot costs.
Notice: I write software to your specification. This is not investment advice and not a signal service. You alone decide on strategy, sizing and risk. Trading futures, CFDs, forex and crypto is risky and can lead to the loss of your entire capital. Backtests and past results say nothing about future results.
Inquiry
Send me your rules. You get a written spec and a fixed price.
The more precise the rules, the more precise the quote. Open questions get settled before I build, not after.
